1. Sid Meiers Civilization VI no arranca
This error looks like if you have it, read below to find out how to fix it.
When I try to start Civ 6 I get the message "Preparing to start Civilization VI" then the message flashes and reappears. The game doesn't start and I've been seeing the same message for 2 hours, please help!
This is the most common mistake in the game. Some players can't start it because they click the buttonSpielenon buttonsteam librarynothing happens or the desktop crashes and I get a random error code. For example, one player reported the following:"Steam says the game has started (box turns green), nothing happens, after about 10 seconds the box turns blue."Follow the solution below to fix this problem and launch the game.
a userRedditHe also posted this workaround, you can try it and see if it fixes your game:
Ok, I had the same issue with Shadow Warrior the other day and it turned out to be Alienware LightFX causing problems (I don't have any of their devices). I did some digging in the dmp file that Civ generated and using random guesses I came up with the following solution.
I renamed the following files to something like xxx.dll.OLD
- C:\Windows\System32\LightFX.dll
- C:\Windows\SysWOW64\LightFX.dll
- C:\Windows\SysWOW64\LightFXXPS.dll
The game started well after that.
There's no harm in trying, right? I hope this works for you
2. Sound error in Sid Meier's Civilization VI
It seems that for some players the game sound is buggy. Is it an odd click, is the intro totally out of sync, or is the speed of sound abnormal and high? This is for example what a user atsteamsaid about this sound problem:“Mine explodes too, but it also talks faster than it should. I watched the intro and the tape ended halfway through the video."
Workaround:A solution to the sound problem is to reduce the sound quality to 16 bits. To do this, simply go into the settings in the game's main menu and then to the Sound tab.
3. Sid Meier's Civilization VI No compatible graphics device found
This problem is generated by your GPU as it is outdated. By default Civilization 6 uses DirectX 12 and your graphics card is not compatible with this version so try to run the game on Dx 11 and you will get this error"No compatible graphics device found".
To make sure everything runs smoothly and to avoid any kind of GPU driver errors, make sure to use a comprehensive driver update wizard that will solve your problems in just a few clicks. I recommend itDriverFixWith it, you can fix various gaming and PC issues.

The easiest and most expensive solution to fix this problem is to upgrade your PC and buy a new GPU. But since I think most of you don't want that, please follow the below solutions and maybe you will overcome this error and play the game.
Problem Hung:
There are two ways to tinker with your GPU and use DirectX11, but both result in terrible performance issues and low fps. Don't worry, we'll fix the frame rate issue later. First we have to make sure that we can run the game on DirectX11 and for this you have to apply the following steps to your game.
First method:
Press Windows + R again and run itdxcpl
(If it can't be found, install the Windows SDK that can be foundon herefor Windows 7 andon herefor Windows 8. Windows 10 shouldn't require anything and be able to find the app).
click onEdit listand add"SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI.exe“list. Then check the box below that saysWARP power🇧🇷 Click Apply and close this window. finally open„Documentos\Mis juegos\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\AppOptions.txt“And changeAllow SW renderersfor 1 andfull screenfor 2
This should get the game running, but as said, performance will be abysmal and you'll need a fairly powerful CPU to play it, which is unlikely if you already have a bad GPU to start with. Red below to correct frame rates after applying this fix.
Quick Tip!To maximize the performance of your PC, we recommend usingRestaurant🇧🇷 This tool will reduce your CPU usage and give you the best gaming experience.

Second method:
navigate to„Sid Meiers Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam“🇧🇷 There will be two executables, one titled "Civilization VI", another titled "CivilizationVI_DX12". Use "Civilization VI" to launch the game which uses DirectX 11 and your problems should be resolved. By default, Civilization VI seems to use the DirectX 12 executable.
After applying the above solutions you should have fixed the Civilization VI error: No compatible graphics device found and your game should run fine but with some frame rate issues. To fix this too and enjoy the game to the fullest, please see the green box below.
Read Here to Fix FPS!After applying these solutions and being able to run the game on DirectX 11, you may experience terrible performance issues and very low frame rate like below 10. 4. Sid Meiers Civilization VI Trava
You may experience random crashes from time to time while playing the game, or you may experience a crash when launching the game. Random crashes are very annoying as you can't save your game and they happen frequently. Because of this, you lose progress and cannot build your empire. Other types of crashes reported by players are crashes during the tutorial and crashes when switching to Democracy and Politics. To fix this problem, try applying the following solution.
5. Sid Meier's Civilization VI map offset at the edges
There is an issue where scrolling the map doesn't work on most of the diagonal and because of the top menu bar so you have to use the arrow keys or click both mouse buttons, whichever is annoying and causes unwanted movement. the unit
Problem Hung:
- Add a moving card with WASD.
- Middle-clicking (or clicking the wheel) moves the map to the center of the mouse cursor.
- Border Scroll, the "border" is right in front of the UI elements as they disable scrolling. So at the top just long press on the cursor just below the menu bar and it will keep scrolling. Diagonal edge scrolling doesn't really work, the UI looks too big in these sections to work similarly to the above, so I'm not sure what to do about it other than disable the UI to avoid scrolling.
- As for WASD against arrows. Outside of games where you control a character (basically strategy games), these keys are almost always intended for menu operation. For example, in this game, W opens the large factory window. An option to change it to your liking would be nice I guess as more options are always better but I'm not sure why people are having so much trouble with it. At least it's certainly nothing to fret about.
6. Sid Meier's Civilization VI performance issues
You may not be able to play the game due to performance issues like low FPS, FPS drops or stuttering. These problems appear due to poor game optimization or it could be your PC. To fix them, you need to optimize your Windows by applying the solutions below.
Problem Hung:
- For AMD users, please disable Raptr in Task Manager. Disable any other intensive apps that may be running in the background. Also, try setting "Tile Mode" to 8x/16x and "Texture Filtering Quality" in Performance of your latest Crimson Edition Radeon software to fix frame rate drops.
- Nvidia users please access the 3D settings through the Control Panel. Make sure the Power Management Mode option is set to Prefer maximum performance.
- If you experience screen flickering or frame rate issues, disable Crossfire/SLI and run the game on a single GPU. Also, disable Steam Overlay by right-clicking the game in the Steam library and going to the game properties.
- The last and best solution is to apply the patch below, it will optimize your game and you will have stable frames without stuttering.Go below for more details!
