Rain is one of my favorite things to do since I was a kid. So maybe I'm the weird one. Most people like "good" weather, which usually means sunshine.
The term 'rain' is often used in music to describe difficult times, whether it is 'it never rains but it pours down' or 'walking in the rain'.
It is sometimes used in a positive sense (for example, "it's raining men" or "money rain'), but these songs seem to be the exception rather than the rule.

Brook Benton is no longer with us, but he was a popular pop, rock 'n' roll, and R&B singer-songwriter, especially in the '50s and '60s.

Of course, this is just my cursory take on the song, which is actually about the Vietnam War. And in this case, "rain" is a metaphor for bombs falling from the sky.
While the idealism of the 1960s is gone, composer John Fogerty has noted that people in the 1970s faced the same challenges.
So this song is a classic.
"November Rain" by Guns N' Roses

This song was almost impossible to avoid in the late '80s and even '90s. Honestly, it would be surprising if you hadn't heard it, even if you were born later.
"November Rain" is one of Guns N' Roses' most iconic and recognizable songs. And it's a nine-minute piano ballad, which wasn't exactly what they were best known for as a band.
The song gradually becomes more dynamic with distorted guitar and guitar solos. The final solo is perhaps the most recognizable part of the song.
The lyrics basically paint a picture of love falling apart. However, the narrator seems interested in saving the relationship.
"Here Comes the Rain Again" by The Eurythmics

The British duo The Eurythmics made a lot of great music. Synthpop and new wave may not have been for everyone, but songs like "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" have shown resilience and toughness over the decades, suggesting they weren't just a trick-or-treating duet. .
From the very first lines, "Here Comes The Rain Again" sets a kind of gloomy mood. It's almost like saying, "Here comes the trouble."
And when you see words like "tragedy", you'll be easily convinced that this is the case.
However, the narrator sounds at least partially hopeful when she says, "Falling head over heels like a new emotion." New emotions are usually positive, right?

The song is about a relationship gone wrong. And his message is that something is to blame, so blame the rain or the stars.
Anyone who's been through a bad breakup knows exactly what it's like to blame yourself for everything that went wrong. And the message of this song is right: you can't blame yourself for what went wrong.

Bassist Brad Smith wrote "NoRain" and apparently wrote it about a girl he was dating who was suffering from depression. So the song is about not having the motivation to get out of bed to do something.

Still, the narrator feels a bit spread out on the map, like there are multiple narrators, not just one.
The song is about going through the thick and thin in life, but the second verse seems to come from the perspective of someone who is about to die.
However, Taylor said that it was a song about various incidents that occurred early in his music career.
He first had a girlfriend, Susanne, who took her own life. Second, Taylor was depressed by the failure of his band (The Flying Machine). Third, Taylor finished the song while in rehab.
The song is also about confronting fame and fortune.
I think a lot of people can relate to it because it's easy to get an idea of what it's likewalk through fireand rain in quick succession. But it's also interesting to find out what the composer intended, as we did.

At first glance, I would say that "Rain" is a song about the paradox of life. It alludes to how we complain about the rain but sit in the shade when the sun shines.
So in that sense, it's a song about not being happy about anything.
However, the song appears to be about the Beatles' arrival in Australia. When the band arrived, they found it raining.
Also, some people say the song is about LSD-induced psychedelics, and while some Beatles songs seem to be about that, I'm not sure this is one of them.
So we don't agree on what music is, but at least it means we can give it our own meaning.

This song seems to be basically about a break up. The narrator blames himself for what went wrong, and as the ex-boyfriend moves on, he continues to feel guilty.

The song features a slow tempo and the wailing riffs of Clapton and Collins' signature vocals.
If you feel a sense of emptiness after a loss, this is a good song to play.
"Only Happy When It Rains" by Garbage

The song's title seems full of irony and evokes the abstract vibe of mid-'90s grunge.
"I don't care if it rains, I'm weird." Am I the only one who said crazy things like that when she was in elementary school? I do not think so.
In "It Only Happens When It Rains" the narrator basically says that they are only happy when things go wrong and they keep pouring misery on them.
But I think the song is probably best summed up in this line:
"I am riding high into a deep depression."
Yes. This is another song about depression.
However, Steve Marker added that the song was intended to poke fun at exactly the kind of people it was describing: fearful, sensitive to all sorts of things.
Either way, it's super catchy.
"I Can't Take the Rain" by Tina Turner

In this song, the narrator can't stand the rain because it reminds her of her ex.
The relationship was apparently incredible. So the break up must have been hard. She doesn't want to be reminded of what went wrong.
"I can't stand the rain / Against my window / Brings back sweet memories."
Nothing more to add here about what music means. But it's worth a listen, with all its unique synth parts doubled.
"Rain Buckets" by Bob Dylan

At first glance, Bob Dylan's "Buckets Of Rain" seems relatively abstract.

Have you heard "King Of Pain" by The Police? That's what this song reminds me of. The narrator talks about how he never attracts anything good into his life and keeps facing one challenge after another.
Adam Duritz said that the song basically serves as a metaphor for creativity, it's like putting together the best possible product, breaking it down, and releasing it into the world.
And, apparently, Duritz felt that he should have accomplished more with all the time and effort he put into his craft. That's pretty relatable.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's a song about war.
Apparently, however, Peter Gabriel was inspired by several sources when writing Red Rain, including a recurring dream and a movie in which the villagers were punished for their sins with red rain (it was never made).
However, when reading deeper into the texts, they seem to point to purification and healing.
Regardless, it's another interesting song.

"Fool In The Rain" seems to be a song about being heartbroken. You can really feel the agony in the lyrics if you get into it (in direct contrast to the music, which sounds upbeat and happy).
This could be as much a song about unrequited love as anything else.

"Why does it Always rain on Me?" It's a song about depression. The narrator tries to figure out why bad things keep happening to him and thinks it must be something he did a long time ago.
Interestingly, songwriter Fran Healy hails from Glasgow, Scotland, where it rains constantly. She went on vacation to Eilat, Israel, where it is always hot and sunny. But during her stay, it rained for two whole days.
Travis performed the song at the Glastonbury Festival in 1999, and although it was sunny for several hours, it becameWait for the first lines of this songthey sang, it started to rain.
So if you want to take the song literally, you certainly can!
